Chicago-based industrial artist I Ya Toyah has released a new single, “FEELINGS,” a hard-edged track that channels frustration, emotional overload, and resistance into an intense industrial statement. The song confronts modern culture’s “performative outrage,” manipulation, and emotional disconnection, while also reflecting the personal toll of living through constant division and aggression. The track balances confrontation with vulnerability, framing “FEELINGS” as both a social critique and a deeply personal release.
Over the course of her recent releases, I Ya Toyah has shown a broad stylistic range, moving between atmospheric electronic material, melodic moments, and heavier industrial sounds. “FEELINGS” lands firmly on the more aggressive end of that spectrum, driven by hard electronic textures and confrontational energy while still retaining the strong melodic and pop sensibility that has remained a consistent part of her work.
The release arrives ahead of two major European tours. I Ya Toyah will first head out with Front Line Assembly before joining KMFDM on another high-profile run.
